Cataloggi – WordPress eCommerce Product Catalog

If you want to sell downloadable digital products Cataloggi could be the best option for you.

Cataloggi is designed in mind to sell WordPress Plugins and Templates but it’s possible to sell with any other type of digital products as well.

In this article you will learn about how to set up your first downloadable product.

Note: Make sure the ecommerce cart is activated on Admin->Cataloggi ->Settings->Cart page.

Activate the cart

Go to the products page Admin->Cataloggi->Products, click on one of your product. Then scroll down to “Product Data” and check the box next to the “Downloadable Product” option.

The downloadable product fields will fade in.

Downloadable File

The first field is your downloadable file name and the second is the file URL. The downloadable file must be in a .zip file format.

Note: Make sure your selected file is in (http://yourwebsite.com/wp-content/uploads/cataloggi-uploads/) folder.

Important! Before you add your downloadable file go to Admin->Settings->Media and make sure the checkbox is unchecked next to “Organize my uploads into month- and year-based folders” then click the “Save Changes” button.

Multi Site

If you are using Multisite go to the Network Site Settings page, scroll down the page until you find “Upload file types” field and add the following file types (zip rar).

Disable the “Organize my uploads into month- and year-based folders” feature.

In Multisite environment you’ll find that option for each site’s setting individually. please go to setting in Network Admin > All Sites > <Site Edit> > Settings > Change “Uploads Use Yearmonth Folders” and set the value to 0.

Download Limit

You can specify how many times the file can be downloaded. For unlimited re-downloads leave the field empty.

Download Expiry

Enter the number of days before the download link expires, or leave the field empty so it is never expires.

Tutorial

Enter your file name and click on the “Select File” button. Make sure your selected file is in (http://yourwebsite.com/wp-content/uploads/cataloggi-uploads/) folder.

Add your download limit, for example 10 and set up your download expiry for 10. That means the product can be downloaded 10 times and the download link will expire after 10 days of the purchase.

Don’t forget to save your page.

Congratulations, you’ve just created your first downloadable product.
